We painted false window surrounds in blue, planted climbers, brought in potted plants and this enormous stone artefact.
The overall effect is totally unique and magical.
We built the wall, found a gate in a reclamation yard that we repaired and treated and then brought in two massive stone artefacts ( seen here and in the accompanying picture ). Topped with conical baskets and planting we achieved a magical design. A little later we brought in a single piece of stone weighing one and a half tons and set it on a plinth we had built in the garden behind the wall.

Farmhouse stone table
Here's the finished York stone patio fitted with sunken lighting and the one and a half ton stone slab.
We rounded it off with four oak blocks that formed garden seating.
