Derbyshire Farmhouse
Farmhouse
We painted false window surrounds in blue, planted climbers, brought in potted plants and this enormous stone artefact.
The overall effect is totally unique and magical.
We built the wall, found a gate in a reclamation yard that we repaired and treated and then brought in two massive stone
artefacts ( seen here and in the accompanying picture ). Topped with conical baskets and planting we achieved a magical design.
A little later we brought in a single piece of stone weighing one and a half tons and set it on a plinth we had built in the garden behind the wall.

Farmhouse stone table
Here's the finished York stone patio fitted with sunken lighting and the one and a half ton stone slab.
We rounded it off with four oak blocks that formed garden seating.
