Bowdon Front Garden
Here the owners wanted to restore the original bold simplicity of the front garden to this town house in Cheshire. I installed re-claimed red Cheshire sandstone walls topped with yellow sandstone copings and a York stone pathway. The coloured gravel brings the whole thing together.
This was the wall before we started - it was leaning out due to subsidence. I put in proper foundations and re-built it.
The new wall.
Originally there was a block paved path that had sunk and become damaged. The three York stone flags here are a metre square and four inches thick.
