Cheshire Driveway
Here, the owners wanted a hint of Derbyshire dry-stone even though they lived in a strict conservation
area and weren't permitted to do such a thing on the roadside edge of their property. Our solution was to create two returns to their driveway.
after
Surprisingly, the walls bordering the road were rendered at some point in their history and we were only permitted
to clean off and re-render them before painting and re-setting the coping stones.
Our client was so taken with the walls to the drive that he asked for another example of Derbyshire stone
walling in his back garden where the conservation authorities held no jurisdiction.
